We provide full-service bookkeeping, financial-statement preparation, payroll, general ledger maintenance, and year-round advisory work. All services are tailored to each client’s industry and growth stage.

Question 8

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant, and why choose a CPA?

Accepted Answer

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) must complete 150 hours of collegiate study, pass a four-part Uniform CPA Exam, and meet Wisconsin’s ongoing ethics and CPE requirements, whereas the generic term “accountant” carries no license mandate. Selecting a CPA means your financial statements and tax filings are handled by a credentialed professional who can also represent you before the IRS.

Question 9

When are property-tax installments due in the Village of Grafton?

Accepted Answer

Real-estate and business personal-property taxes follow a three-installment schedule: January 31, March 31, and May 31 for payments made to the Village; any remaining balance is paid to Ozaukee County by July 31.

Question 10

When does my Wisconsin LLC have to file its annual report?

Accepted Answer

Your LLC’s annual report is due each year during the quarter of its anniversary month (e.g., a company formed in July files between July 1 and September 30). Reports are filed online with the Department of Financial Institutions. There is no late fee, but failure to file for three consecutive years triggers administrative dissolution.

Question 11

Do online or out-of-state sales require Wisconsin sales-tax collection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The state’s marketplace provider rules make many remote platforms responsible for collecting Wisconsin sales tax, but independent sellers that exceed $100,000 in Wisconsin revenue must register and remit tax directly. We can help you obtain or update a seller’s permit through our tax services.

Question 12

What business records should I keep, and for how long?

Accepted Answer

The IRS recommends retaining income and expense documentation for at least seven years, and property basis records for as long as you own the asset. Use a reliable system—digital or paper—that summarizes every transaction daily.

Question 13

Can you set up and train my team on QuickBooks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our staff includes experienced QuickBooks ProAdvisors who can set up, customize, and train your team on QuickBooks Online or Desktop, giving you access to exclusive support tools.
